History of the Chesapeake Bay
The Chesapeake Bay has played a vital role in the history and culture of the area and the nation. Even before European colonization, the Powhatans relied on the Bay for food and transportation. Hundreds of years later, the Bay continues to serve as a source of food, a major port for the United States and as a recreational playground. This program highlights the history and culture of the Chesapeake Bay.
